Stephenson Ceramics
Classes
The classes will consist of 2-hour instruction in basic wheel throwing and hand-building and will take place in my personal studio. Sessions will run Wednesdays & Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Classes cost $60 per person and will cover the cost of clay, firing, glazes, and instruction. There will be a maximum of eight participants per session which will fill the four pottery wheels I have and have hand-building instruction as well. All necessities are provided. Participants must be at least 10 years old. 10-14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children are not allowed during a class.
**Once a class is purchased it is non-refundable** (MUST HAVE 4 PARTICIPANTS FOR A CLASS)

NOTE: Glazing of projects will be scheduled for a mutually agreed upon time (typically within 2 weeks). After two weeks the studio will glaze left pieces and they will be available for pick up within two weeks. Due to space, after two weeks pieces will be discarded.

Part 1 of session:
The session will begin with instruction of four participants on pottery wheels and four participants hand-building (slabs, coils, pinch pots).
Part 2 of session:
Halfway through the session instruction will switch so that both sets of four participants will learn the other method of building.
Meet The Artist

As the solo potter of Stephenson Ceramics, I, Dustin Stephenson get so much enjoyment out of teaching. I have been a school teacher for 32 years and taught ages K-12, so I have been able to make a difference across a broad spectrum of people.

I also have a great love for sharing my passion with the community which I have been able to do through my pint and potteries as well as art shows around Wyoming, Nebraska, and Montana. Now that I have resigned from my school teaching career, I have the goal of putting all my eggs into the basket of being a full time artist and pursuing my dreams. As I mentioned above I love teaching so I plan to continue to making a difference and helping those who are interested to learn my trade.

I am a very hands on and patient teacher. Therefore, I am physically there for you every step of the way and mentally as well, this way I can make it as stress free in an unfamiliar environment/activity as possible. There is no task to big or too small to accomplish!
